Description

This full-day event for Year 12 girls (ages 16-17) studying A-level Mathematics is designed to give a stimulating introduction to advanced mathematical problem-solving, and encourage more girls to study Mathematics at university. The day will include talks giving an accessible insight into some of the areas of maths encountered at university, and interactive problem-solving workshops. The event will give an insight into the challenging, exciting and rewarding mathematics encountered in a undergraduate degree, and will support students to develop their mathematical thinking and confidence in tackling challenging problems. Full details and the programme for the day can be found on the event webpage.

This event is free and places must be pre-booked.

If the event is full you will be unable to book a place from this page. We have created a waiting list here

Important information: please read before booking

This registration form is for individual students only.

  • Lunch will be provided

  • Cancellation policy: thanks to generous philanthropic and in-kind support we are able to offer free places to all students. However, places are limited, and because of the highly interactive nature of the day, late changes to numbers cause significant disruption to the event. If bookings are cancelled after 5pm on Tuesday 13 March, or students do not attend on the day, we will therefore charge at our discretion a cancellation fee of £20 per cancelled student place.

  • The talks and workshops may be filmed or photographed. Photographs and films may be published, transmitted or broadcast in official University of Cambridge publications and in University publicity materials, including University and University-affiliated websites and may be circulated to the press and other broadcast media and Internet websites for publication, transmission or broadcast. If this is problematic please contact us in advance.
